Journal entries

Everything you write — the worry, what is and is not in your control, and your next action — is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage, protected by iOS file protection. Journal entries are never uploaded, analyzed by third parties, used for advertising, or sold. There is no account and no cloud sync in this release.

Device backups may include journal entries according to your operating-system backup settings.

Apple Health (optional)

The optional wellness tab requests read-only access to categories you choose, which may include activity, sleep, mindfulness, hydration, daylight, and selected vital signs. Health information is read and processed on your device. Stoic Control Journal does not upload HealthKit information to a developer-operated server, use it for advertising, or sell it. You can change category permissions at any time in the Health app on your iPhone.

Data collection

Version 1.0 has no account, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party analytics SDK, and no developer-operated cloud database. Beyond journal entries, the app stores only app-owned preferences and sample-preview selections in local iOS storage.

Data deletion

You can delete any journal entry inside the app. You can reset sample-preview values in Settings. You can remove Apple Health permission in the Health app. Uninstalling the app removes all of its local data, including every journal entry.

Medical disclaimer
